The goal of this series is to incentive people to shoot monthly matches around the state and work towards qualifying for the Shooters Source Southwest 3 Gun Series Championship Match and Shootout Finale at the end of the year. For 2017, the series will start in April and run through September, with the Series Championship in November. Shooters will accumulate points relative to their finish at monthly matches through participating clubs. There is no limit to how many matches shooters can participate in, but you must shoot in at least 4 monthly series matches to be eligible for an invite to the Championship Match.
Series Membership: $0.00 (Just show up and shoot at least 4 monthly matches at associated clubs to be eligible to receive an invite to the Series Championship. DNF or DQ scores will not count towards series points)
Monthly Series Match Fee: Individual club’s discretion.
Series Divisions: Open, Tactical Optics, Limited will be recognized for the Series Championship.
Championship Match: Will be a 1 day, 6 stage match with a mix of bay and natural terrain stages. Max number of shooters is 66. The Championship Match will count towards your final series point’s total, which will determine the series winner of each division. Awards will be given for the top finishers in each division (Must have at least 5 qualifying shooters to recognize division). Entry for the Championship Match is not limited to series shooters, but series shooters will have first priority. Remaining slots will be first come first serve to general public, but they will not be eligible for the Shootout Finale (or cash prizes).
The Shootout Finale: A 1 vs 1 shoot-off after the Championship Match. The top 20% of shooters from each division (using scores from the Championship Match) will qualify to be in the shoot-off and awarded cash prizes. The purse at Shootout Finale is dependent upon the number of shooters registered in Series Championship match. Payouts will be per division and pots will be based on number of shooters in those divisions. There must be 5 shooters in the Championship match division to be eligible for cash payout.
